Job Purpose

Key to Alexandra’s success, this field-based role which is covering the North England Territory is responsible for supporting that success by driving growth in your designated portfolio. Your role is pivotal in ensuring we maintain and strengthen our customer relationships using your excellent comminution and networking skills. Using these relationships to further enhance trust to seek out commercial opportunities to grow our sales and profitability. We expect you to act as a brand ambassador, forming a unique partnership with each customer, new and old, by having a deep understanding of their needs, fulfilled by your delivery of a long-term vision and strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Understand our customers’ requirements

  • Proactively deepen customer and market knowledge to inform the business planning and account priorities.
  • Manage and monitor contractual KPI’s with regular communication with customer on performance and adherence to both identify potential needs and stimulate new sales opportunities.

Create, implement and update a strategic plan

  • Using knowledge of our customers strategies and objectives to build and execute successful short, medium and longer-term plans that meet both the customers and our business needs
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and service improvements
  • Manage and oversee project teams both internally and within the customer to deliver agreed objectives
  • Deliver and aim to exceed the business sales and margin targets
  • Work alongside the Account Executive Team to optimise call and journey plans to maximise your/their selling activities.

Retain the customer, strengthen relationships at all levels and grow the account sales

  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships based on trust
  • Network and grow the relationship base within the customer
  • Seek out and identify sales opportunities to grow both sales and margin
  • Structure regular face to face new business and contract review meetings to develop growth and retention within the portfolio.
  • Work effectively on leads passed through the business whilst also having a clear plan to also acquire leads through targeted self-generation.

Manage key projects and maintain a critical path

  • Take commercial accountability for key non-financial measures including forecasting accuracy, debt, product and pricing accuracy.
  • Create and deliver strong commercial proposals using PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Initiate and drive Bespoke Product lifecycles, securing customer underwrites unless otherwise agreed. Adhere to the Company standards, SOX controls and maintaining the high levels of trust and expertise that reinforce our reputation.

**This role involves spending at least 3 days per week meeting customers in the Northern Territory, and you will be required to attend regular meetings in Castle Donington and Stoke Gifford**

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential

  • Proven track record of managing accounts and relationships
  • Adaptive communication, negotiation and networking skills.
  • Strong organisational and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Ability to work under pressure at pace to strict targets and deadlines
  • Strong business and commercial awareness

Desired

  • Experience or knowledge of Corporate clothing or clothing industry
  • Success in a territory based role
  • Experience with public sector frameworks
  • Strong customer service and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and interpret complex data
  • Positive approach to problem solving and change management
  • People orientated, engaging personality
